The project “Satellite Positioning Engine for Accurate Real-time Navigation”, was awarded a “Seal of Excellence” from the European Innovation Council (EIC) as part of the EIC acceleration program.
SPEAR (Satellite Positioning Engine for Accurate Real-time Navigation) is a proprietary cross-platform software development kit (SDK) that provides accurate (decimetric errors) and robust navigation to moving devices in industrial and premium mass-market verticals.
SPEAR is a unique commercial navigation engine implementation based on the Undifferenced and Uncombined processing strategy. This feature ensures a higher degree of flexibility and scalability in the rapidly evolving business of satellite navigation.
Moreover, SPEAR will deliver an authenticated position thanks to its implementation of the Galileo Open Service-Navigation Message Authentication (OS-NMA) and greater accuracy thanks to the Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS), among other state-of-the-art features such as multi-frequency processing and integrity. SPEAR is the necessary piece to transform GNSS low-level solutions (chipsets, System-on-chip, System-on-module...) into end-to-end high performing navigation solutions.
The Seal of Excellence recognizes SPEAR as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process, providing a quality check to Rokubun and opening up new funding opportunities.
